This app was amazing before a few updates ago, now, every time I go to use it, I get "Fetch error: 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable” at least 10 times before results will show up. After the results finally do show up (I sure hope they match becuase if not, that pain all over again) the matching gives the same error. Over and over and over and over and over. It’s been doing this for months now, I had just been hopeful that another update might’ve fix it. I still hold this app in high regards, it was a life saver, but pleeeeeeeeeeease fix it:(

A lot of my files have “01” “02” “03” as text before the name of the track. I need to batch remove these characters, but there is no option for “File Name”. How can I batch remove these track numbers in the file name? EDIT…its under “file rename” im a jackass and this is a great app.

This is without a doubt, the best app I have ever purchased using the app store or for any of my Macs. I have a 1TB+ flac server of every CD I own and loads of legally downloaded and shared music (Dead, WSP, Phish, etc. etc.) No app I have tried has been as powerful and accurate for fixing meta data as this one. I’m pretty careful when I rip now, but when I did the bulk of my library (all with XLD, and some back in 2001 on a Wintel machine with EAC) there were problems all over the place. I was able to clean up everything and re-sync my LMS server, Twonky server and Plex server in only 3 sessions. I would give this app 10 stars if I could. I just hope it stays this good.

I’ve been hunting for a tagging application to tweak my 1.5TB collection of music for ages and my search is over now that I’ve found Metadatics! I am very particular about how I tag my music (especially my large collection of live shows). With this app I can quickly and powerfully tag things so I can find them fast and efficiently in iTunes. I’ve you’re looking for a great tagger on the mac, look no further!

It is by far the best tagger I’ve experienced. I have tried tons including about all windows taggers and no one has all the features that I need. In conjunction with the musicbriainz it provides everything that I was looking for. I am using it for a few days and the only drawback is that I could not download composers for the tracks and I do know musicbrainz does have this information for the tracks I’ve submitted. Maybe is me.

I have tested a variety of tools to retrieve proper metadata settings already. Since dealing with a large number of files, this app is keeping its promises. No crashes, sound service. Thank you. May I suggest to enable cover search from different libraries or maybe google images?

I dont really need to say more, this is indeed the best tag editor on Mac. Metadatics has all the features which make managing my FLAC collection a breeze. The file renaming and MusicBrainz support are my favourite features. 5 Stars!

This is truly the easiest and most accurate tag editor for Mac and Ive tried many. Also customer support is top notch and problem resolved within minutes. I recommend this to anyone who wants their music collection clean and precise. Definitely worth the price tag.

Bought this app, cause there is not many good tag editor apps for MACs. been reading the reviews around the internet. this one is by far the best! would recommend to anyone is you like to clean up your music files and personalize your music collection.

I lucked in when I picked up this app. It keeps the metadata on my audio files organized. The UI is tidy and efficient. And best of all, updates occur regularly.

Finally, after 15 and something years since I have mp3s I found the perfect application to edit the tags of my songs.

On Windows, the best metadata editor around is mp3tag. Unfortunately, mp3tag doesnt develop an OS X version of mp3tag, so the only way to use it is by using Wine. This doesnt produce the best results--crashes galore, for one thing. Thankfully, Metadatics is exactly the kind of metadata editor I was looking for. It allows me to edit all of those hidden tags that most other editors overlook--Copyright? Release date (and not just year)? All here. Kudos to the developer for a fine app that I was desperately in need of!

Best Metadata editor for the MAC. This is the only app Ive found to change the Title Tag to match the filename.
